Manufacturing Industry Inspection & Maintenance
Operating in the mining, petrochemical, and industrial sectors of the manufacturing industry, MISTRAS performs inspection, maintenance, and access solutions to keep our clients’ facilities and assets operating safely and efficiently.
The manufacturing process involves mining for raw materials and later transforming them through high-temperature, high-pressure activities. These processes are prime environments for corrosion and other damages to occur, making the need for inspection paramount.
We support process facilities with routine and complex inspection and maintenance tasks, along with providing engineering support to optimize productivity. Our non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection techniques enable in-service inspections, maximizing productivity by preventing the need to take assets out of service. We’re able to help plan and execute turnarounds, with a focus on minimizing downtime.
Mining Inspection & Maintenance Services
Canada’s mining industry is one of the largest in the world, increasing the need for routine inspections and maintenance as such a large portion of the country relies on the materials helps produce. Many assets in the mining industry are difficult to access with traditional means, so MISTRAS provides dedicated diving, rope access, and fall protection teams to support our clients.
Our diving teams perform work on ports, ponds, water intakes, dams, and hydroelectric generation facilities. Rope access teams perform inspection, maintenance and rock stabilization services on mining shafts, open pits, railroads, process sites. Our experienced fall protection personnel support mining operations with inspection, certification, design, and installation services.
Petrochemical Inspection & Maintenance Services
MISTRAS’ petrochemical industry services are focused on maximizing safety and efficiency in these dangerous environments.
Petrochemical asset failure can be catastrophic, so MISTRAS inspects petrochemical tanks, piping, pressure vessels, and other assets for:
- Corrosion
- Cracking
- Leaking
- Structural Fatigue
Our engineers can help conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and implement Integrity Operating Window (IOW) programs as part of facility-wide Asset Integrity Management Services (AIMS) programs.
Our multi-disciplined inspection and maintenance teams also equipped to perform light mechanical services, including insulation installation and removal, monitoring system installation, corrosion mitigation, and pipefitting services.
