Power Generation Industry
Power Generation Inspection, Maintenance, and Engineering Services
MISTRAS operates in several sectors of Canada’s power generation industry, including working with Nuclear, Wind, Hydroelectric, and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) clients. We perform a wide range of inspection, maintenance/mechanical, and engineering services, working hard to provide the right asset protection solution for your operations.
Our solutions are designed to maximize uptime and safety for people, assets, and facilities. MISTRAS’ engineering services teams assist clients with planning shutdowns/outages. Our multi-disciplined teams are equipped to access assets in hard-to-reach locations (through rope access teams and unmanned system inspections), perform the necessary inspection and maintenance, and return your assets to service as efficiently as possible.
Nuclear Power Services
MISTRAS’ services and systems support nuclear construction, maintenance, refueling outages, and major component replacement projects.
Our expert technicians provide non-destructive examination (NDE) inspection, maintenance, and engineering services for reactor cavities, transfer canals, steam generators, heat exchangers, and other assets in nuclear facilities. MISTRAS’ diving teams also have experience operating in spent fuel pools. MISTRAS’ Loose Parts Monitoring System (LPMS™) remotely monitors, detects and evaluates metallic loose parts in reactor systems, keeping plant operators informed of potentially dangerous mechanical failures.
Our expertise includes Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), Boiling Water Reactor (BWR), and Canada Deuterium Uranium (CANDU) nuclear power plant engineering and inspection services.
